Summary

Roles & Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or related field. Master’s degree preferred
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in good standing
  • 2+ years’ experience in nutritional assessment, coaching and counseling patients
  • 2+ years of work experience as RD in community agencies. Serving a diverse population with different cultural needs preferred
  • Fluency in Chinese (Cantonese) is required.

BASIC FUNCTION

Requirements

Our Radiology Tech are asked to have, or to develope, alternate modality to help with coverage in services lines – CT and/or Mammo. Experience preferred but will train for competency.

Must have working knowledge of both X-Ray rooms and fluoroscope, portable x-ray machine, CT Scanner, Bone Densitometer, C-arm, Mammography Equipment, computed radiography, Digital Radiography and PACs film digitizer, photocopier, fax machine, telephones, and hospital computer system.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in performing first aid within their scope of knowledge.
  • Practices sterile techniques and prevents cross contamination. Maintains orderliness and cleanliness, including provision for the contamination-free condition of rooms, equipment, and personnel.
  • Secures and returns supplies.
  • Reports equipment failure to supervisor and calls in a ticket to the appropriate vendor using proper forms and maintaining appropriate records.
  • Responsible for delegated areas of authority in the performance of routine or special procedures. In the absence of the manager or lead technologist, may be designated as acting supervisor.
  • May be responsible for specific areas of instruction in the Radiologic Technology student program and ancillary personnel.
  • Cooperates with all department personnel in a positive and professional manner. Maintains a positive and loyal attitude towards employer.

Location: Meeker, CO

Compensation Ranges: Salary hourly +  Benefits + Sign on bonus

HOURS OF WORK: M – F | 8 hours

The working environment is a normal clinical setting with exposure to sharps and biological and chemical agents. It is expected that facility safety practices and protocols are followed at all times.

Essential Functions

  • Conduct physical exams to assess patient health needs and problems
  • Implement physicians’ orders, such as performing treatments, starting IVs, administering medications, and interpreting tests.
  • Review and maintain medical records.
  • Administer direct care to injured, disabled, ill or convalescent patients.
  • Document pertinent information and medication administration.
  • Counsel patients and family members on disease prevention and health maintenance
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic working environment
  • Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families.
  • Complete required continuous training and education, including department specific requirements.
  • Assess patient health continuously and implement and develop nursing care
  • Receive patients, explain procedures, check vital signs, complete assessments, required screenings, administer therapy, monitor reactions, document and report information to physicians appropriately.
  • Deal with emergency situations effectively as they arise.
  • Provide infusion treatments such as hydration, blood and blood components, drugs, and other solutions.
  • Appropriately and accurately document patient care, medication administration, and the ongoing assessment of the patient.
  • Utilize proper medication administration rights and techniques.
  • Maintain and ensure confidentiality of patient information and records.
  • Read emails, participate in staff meetings and communication to remain updated on trends, changes, department and organizational requirements.
  • Assist other departments as needed.
  • Emotional intelligence.
  • Other duties as  assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Current, unencumbered Colorado RN license is required.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS or ENPC are required within six (6) months of hire or transfer.
  • Knowledge of current nursing trends and practices, utilizing evidence-based practices.

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Must be able to move and traverse about the facility 50% of the time
  • Frequently transport objects weighing up to 50lbs
  • Occasionally position objects weighing up to 100lbs
  • Must be able to communicate and exchange information in a way others will understand.
  • Must be able to recognize details such as color and depth within a few feet of the observer.
  • Frequently operates computers, machinery, and other healthcare equipment
  • Constantly positions self to complete essential functions
  • May be required to wear N95s or PAPRs throughout the shift
